About Dr. Mehta
Dr. Karan Mehta is a board-certified plastic surgeon with a practice focused on cosmetic surgery of the breast, body, and face. Dr. Mehta completed a 7-year B.S./M.D. program at the Sophie Davis School for Biomedical Education and Albany Medical College. During these years, he committed one year to science research at the NYU School of Medicine Plastic Surgery Department. There, he investigated methods for the optimization of wound healing. After medical school, Dr. Mehta completed an Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. He has completed his board certifications and now practices in New York.

My scar started reacting, and formed keloid, due to permanent sutures left behind on that previous surgery. Dr.Mehta was able to remove the old bad looking scar, and remove the stitches that were previously left behind, leaving a beautiful scar. I would recommend Dr.Mehta, because he is a very responsible Doctor, he is one to keep in touch, responds quickly to any concerns, before and after surgery. I had a concern a year later after my scar revision and Dr. Mehta did not hesitate to reply and see me to help me out. He is truly a gem, and I am very thankful for him.

He recently performed my upper and lower blepharoplasty, and I cannot imagine how it could have been done any better. What impresses me most is how precise the suture was. The stiches were just removed the day before yesterday, and I can already tell that any sort of scar line is going to be undetectable since the work was aligned so perfectly with my natural eyelid crease and was done immaculately. I can appreciate this precision even more so, because a loved one works in several plastic surgery offices and says that this level of execution is not always the case, even among reputable surgeons.
